It's National Apprenticeship Week 2021!

national apprenticeship week 2021

At Midlands Rural Housing we really value our apprentices and do all we can to help them develop, learn and grow.

Over the years we’ve supported many young people on their employment journey, and we’re delighted several of them are still working with us today.

Leonie completed her apprenticeship with us at the end of 2019 and is now working as a Customer Care Coordinator:

“Joining Midlands Rural as an apprentice has been a great experience. I’ve always been treated like an important part of the team. I’ve learnt a lot, and the support and encouragement of my colleagues has really helped. I’m now working in the Customer Care Team and loving it! I would say that Midlands Rural has definitely helped me gain more confidence and I enjoy that every day is different to the last.”

Beth joined emh (part of our group) as an Income Apprentice in 2015, before securing a permanent role as an Income Assistant. In 2018 she moved into her current role as the Development and Maintenance Admin Assistant at Midlands Rural:

“Starting as an apprentice was perfect for me. It gave me the chance to learn on the job and I’ve never looked back. The experience especially helped my confidence. I’ve been supported to always challenge myself and this has helped me progress. Six years on, I’m so glad to still be working within the same organisation and I’m still learning every day!”

Ed Massey, Housing Services Manager has had the pleasure of working closely with our Housing Assistant apprentices:

“Apprentices bring a lot to our team and seeing them develop so much during their time with us is really rewarding. It’s even better when we have the opportunity to offer them a permanent role with us. I wish we could do it for all of them!”
