What is rural housing enabling?

It’s about assessing housing needs then enabling the development of excellent, affordable homes in rural areas to meet those needs.

This work ensures that parishes have the right balance of homes to sustain a vibrant community. All new housing should aim to meet local needs and be planned carefully to have a positive impact on the area.

Identifying the full range of local housing needs informs future decisions and proactive action.

  • We're an independent broker

We act as an honest and independent broker - a link between the different parties (communities, government organisations, developers, architects, builders, parish councils, local authorities), providing informed and impartial advice on rural housing projects.

  • We provide a pathway

We build collaborative partnerships with registered providers, local authorities and other key agencies to provide a clear pathway for successful planning applications and scheme delivery.

  • We support communities

We enable communities to grow and thrive. This includes working with town and parish councils from assessment of local housing needs through to scheme inception, pre-development and completion of new homes.
