This week Rural Housing Week is giving housing associations, such as ourselves, an excellent opportunity to shout about all the excellent work we do and the impact we have on people’s lives.

The environment in which Warwickshire Rural Housing Association is working has been changing over the past few years, with changes in funding, changes in the way affordable housing is procured and managed, and a host of other legislative changes.  We are also working against a backdrop of an ever-changing economic climate.

Two things which haven’t changed, however, are the real need for affordable rural housing and the fact that we are committed to innovating and adapting to continue meeting this need across Warwickshire.   With local people also facing more and more challenges, such as ongoing benefit changes and rising house prices, this need is greater now than ever before.

This year we’re building more homes in more places, and making a difference to more individuals.  All our developments enable local people to continue living in the villages in which they’ve been brought up, where they work or where they have family.

These may be changing times, but our vision and our ambition to build homes, build communities and build lives, always remain constant.
