We've created access to thousands of excellent new rural homes across the Midlands.

Our success is based on a unique mix of deep local knowledge, a wide range of in-house skills, and direct connections with local authorities and communities who trust us to:

We've developed long-standing partnerships with local authority housing and planning departments, developers, contractors, parish councils, voluntary agencies and other housing associations. And we always maintain clear communication between all stakeholders at every stage of a development. That way, we can be certain that everybody's needs are met.

What do our customers say?

  • Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council

"Midlands Rural Housing have provided briefings for our borough and parish councillors for many years.

"We've found that the briefings improve members’ understanding of the issues surrounding rural housing from identifying housing needs to management of housing.

"This awareness not only aids their work in their communities and in considering housing provision, but also when acting as the Local Planning Authority and considering policy matters such as site allocations.

"For parish and town councillors, their understanding of the wider issues, needs and considerations is greatly improved and this in turn leads to better partnership working between the tiers of local government.

"The delivery style of the briefings is open and informative and always receive positive feedback, with members citing their improved awareness and confidence in dealing with issues surrounding rural housing."

  • Private developer - Whiterock Homes

“Working with the Misterton with Walcote Parish Council, we’re hoping to develop an affordable housing scheme in the village. As part of the pre-planning process we needed to provide independent evidence to show there’s a need for affordable homes for local people in the village, so we commissioned Midlands Rural Housing (MRH) to carry out a housing needs survey.

“We chose to work with MRH as they are specialists in rural housing, with lots of experience conducting housing needs surveys nationally and have been Harborough District Council’s preferred partner for many years.

“Philippa at MRH guided us through the process, kept to deadlines and answered my many questions. She delivered a thorough report, explaining future housing needs in the area, and the type of homes that would be required to meet that need. This evidence will support our planning application and ensure that any development meets the needs of the local community.”
